Dion Lee is a name the fashion world must keep in the forefront of their stylish brains. Definitely tso’s favourite Australian designer (what Australian fashionista is not obsessed), I am thrilled but not surprised to hear that Dion Lee has taken out prestigious L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s (LMFF) Young Designer Award. Along with the title, the designer won a trip to Florence or Paris and a $10,000 cash prize. His distinctive, sleek, beautifully deconstructed tailoring screams ‘it’-factor as featured in previous SS09/10 and ‘How To Be Invisible‘ collection. This designer will without a doubt make a major impact on an international scale in no time. Congratulations Dion Lee!

tso has been keeping tabs on up and coming Melbourne label Miss T for quite a while now and the latest collection titled ‘Wanderlust’ has definately converted a new fan. The brains behind the label is designer/stylist/model/blogger Natascha who has been designing for three years. The collection features an array of super wearable ‘cool-kid’ pieces to sexy party dresses that are definately up to date with current trends. What makes this collection especially interesting is the vast range of fabrics incorporated including current season favourite, mesh and velvet and more unconventionally, latex. My personal favourites of the collection include the ‘free four’ shorts, ‘on the run’ shorts and of course the ‘ruby ruby’ velvet pants. Definately a label to keep your eyes on.
You can see the collection on Natascha’s blog In Search of Little Sadie and the Miss T website. The collection will be available to purchase online through the website soon.
