Since you’re gone, I sat at home
Wonder why no I’ll never be free
    But the thought of you
    Goin with another guy
No, it could never be me
You took a ring and pawned our love away
What can I say, I am left behind
So I take a drink, another cigarette
I can’t forget that you once were mine

    What can I say?
I guess it wasn’t meant to be
    Now you’re gone,
It’s just, your love is like a drug

    It’s been so long
Your folks have bet you gone
I know that you’re alive inside
So I hope and pray you won’t throw this love away
I just wish that you still were mine

This post – or re-post should I say – is dedicated to my friendly fan on the Australian Vogue forums, for whom should know that yes, close enough – my then sprightly youth of seventeen is absolutely something you should demote me over, you know… with your old age comes a infallible wisdom of course.

Indeed my lovely readers, I have no life and read posts written about myself. I then crawl up in the corner of my bedroom and cry about it. Haha.

Much love and kisses for you… x

I shall apologise for my lack of posts… these days are pretty busy – I’m back at university and barely have time to spare and when I do, I spent it doing work and assignments seeing as I’m struggling to keep up. I also started a new part time job to earn some money to fund my excessive fashion purchases and one too many costly, alcohol fueled nights. Seeing as I haven’t really posted much lately, I think it is appropriate to do an oniomania post with Australian fashion week right around the corner. I’m hoping to go to all the shows if uni permits – I’m pretty sure I’m sitting on the edge of failing for not completing the 80% attendance, and I really don’t think I can stand re-doing a course! It will be my second year at fashion week and I will be once again doing a show coverage, except this year I will have a crack at writing reviews, so we’ll see how that goes…

I’ve been doing my fair share of online shopping lately but of course, I want more. I particularly like this Vanessa Bruno skirt which is from net-a-porter. I have unintentional tendencies to dress real gothic these days, it’s not a look that I’m aiming to create, it’s just something that results after throwing a few interesting pieces together. Then there is the Lisa Marie Fernandez. I guess these swimsuit are everywhere these days after being featured in Russh Magazine. I love the idea of incorporating the ‘wetsuit’/nylon material with my clothes for that sporty look. Speaking of sporty, I’ve been wearing a plastic black Adidas watch a lot lately but being plastic it is also most practical to wear to work. It gets pretty dirty by the time I get home so I want to find a second, I like this Nixon one – one for work and one for everywhere else.

I’m usually not a fan of leggings, even less for those that attempt to be pants. It never fails to remind me of a fat girl walking around with ‘jeggings’ – then I get some disturbing images in my mind of me being a fat girl in these ‘jeggings’… not a nice thought. These tan leggings by the Olsen twins’ higher end line The Row however, I like -mainly because they are tan instead of the ubiquitous black leather leggings. Another amazing piece I came across is the ostrich feather Zac Posen bolero… It has this fabulous glamourous rock look that I can just picture in Almost Famous. And lastly the boots and tunic. The boots are Tsumori Chisato from Opening Ceremony and I can really see myself buying these. My collection of shoes is predominantly black with the exception of two pairs and these boots are so wearable. The tunic is from Nasty Gal Vintage (not sure about the label), I love the sheer back detail which was a suprise because of the simple, baggy ‘sloppy joe’ jumper front.

And so I must leave again to soak up some z’s for my inhumanly early start at work tomorrow.

    Until then..
